back in the city, yay... ;) things normal, good, things nice, good.
the trip in to the dr was great, ton of things, good stuff but as a piece of advice in case any of you decide to visit the DR for some reason... try to avoid the pop Puerto plata airport, its truly the most convenient for me cause i can get home from there in an hour+ or so, but in comparison with the one in Santiago and even the one in santo domingo, puerto plata's airport is just BAD. poor service, the whole facility needs a makeover and for some reason they feel they have to have extra security over all airports i have been to. i mean, literally these people keep an eye on you even when sitting in the waiting areas.- and they are not subtle when they want to stare at you... racial profiling, well most of you will say, oh that's done everywhere but dude, trust me, this place, they dont even care about making it less obvious. here is the perfect example, two girls in front of me have a passport that reads "passport, bla bla" in front, the security person barely looks at them ad let them go, but if you passport says "pasaporte", wel, get used to the double look, and placing the passport next to your face to see if you are the dude in the photo. never mind searching your bag if you look non-gringo to them or doing the sort of police body fell check on you think while letting the not so suspicious one go ahead and head to the plane.... the airport suck, they dont even have good food ahh, and how can i forget NO WIRELESS, Woot!... how lame is that?.... am tired now but i could go for 10 more examples on how you should totally avoid this place... for now good night!

Love the clouds here. Dude, that happens to me routinely at LaGuardia. I hate flying in a post 9/11 world.

hehehe....... this all feels very familiar to me..... this reads like a bit from Jezblog..... and I love to make this picture when I get off or on the plane......hehehehe......this is a very cool version love those clouds......hassle with security....... its really horrible if you are suffering from racial profiling and all that crap...... security....so called.... not the safety...... but the mororic nature of most of it.......does your brains in....... my fave security story..... I get to Zagreb airport during the war in Bosnia (Zagreb is outside the war zone) I ask if it is possible for them to hand search my film cos I have literally risked my life to shoot it....... I ask polietly..... the guy says no..... I persist in asking politely so he punches me in the face...... I have a nose bleed....... I go up stairs to speak to the director of the airport...... oh yeah this is not so unusual....... the guy who has done it is the head of security....... the head of the airport has this kind of stuff a lot ...... the director is not embarassed or thinking that maybe the head of security should be replaced or something or even that I should make a formal complaint........ I make the director come down to the security gate with me to make sure my film is not destroyed deliberately..... but I have always had a sneaking dislike of Croatia because of that incident...... the head of security at an international airport punched me in the face for asking a polite question?....... the director of the national airport thinks that is OK ? ........ even the officials at the airport in Goma during the height of the Rwanda Crisis when their airport and runway was awash with refugees (the bodies piling up at the edge of the runway)...... were polite....... er.... corrupt..... but polite.......

I love how the walkway to the plane kinda extends to the wing, it makes a great composition!
