Yesterday was the Independence day in the Dominican Republic, its the first time that I have been in the DR being aware of the concept in a way that I fully understand what that actually means. I have spent my last 5 years in nyc going to see the macy's fireworks 4rth of July Celebration, but what is odd is that I find the US to be more patriotic on a daily basis than in 4rth of July it self.
