the exif data on the image says this was taken at 7:03pm.
I dont know where you are from and if you have been to new york but around 7pm on the summer time it can be very bright.
(not the case of the dominican republic, 7pm downthere, all year round, would be really dark.) :)
in addition this was taken at: 200 iso 1/2000 F/3.5 exposure mode: manual.
