a few minutes before landing, i felt the force of the dr on me and woke up (I had fallen to sleep and was droolling... just kidding! ;) ) anyways, i got to say the dr has to be the lungs of the earth. i mean i know the island is not that [big]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominican_Republic but boy, do they have some bast greens going on all around?
1- this first photo i would say is a bit past the center of the island more towards the east side of it.
2- this second one is right outside of santo domingo more towards the east past the center of the city where the airport is located
3- this one is just af few seconds after the photo before, the plane had completely cut through the island and was turning back to land.

Long life to the Dominican republic! The most beautiful land human eyes have seen*.
*Christopher Columbus on his arrival to the Hispaniola island (Now Haiti and Dominican republic)

did he referred to it as Dominican republic from that point in time?
Something that bothers me amongst my new york/american friends is that no one (not even 1 of them) knew that the Dr was the first country of the new world. = where columbus first arrived. i just wonder then why we are so far behind on everything down there... life!

i am an american who knew that dr was where cristobol colon arrived...the island of hispaniola. we're not all geographically illiterate, eh? that being said, what gorgeous views from the air. must be difficult to be back in the hustle-bustle of nyc as winter approaches after being back home in the dr.
